Life is a Journey

Life is a journey.

We begin by observing, learning the basics and acquiring the skills that will aid us throughout our lives. As we grow, our experiences teach us. We learn many lessons along the way, each caused by our choices, a consequence of our curiosity and the things that make us.

We learn what it means to hurt, to be sad, and to feel sheer joy. We experience and we grow.

Our growth leads us in new directions, some of which we would have never thought possible for ourselves. We know ourselves better than anyone else; yet, as we continue to learn new things about ourselves, as we are faced with the challenges of everyday life and the tests brought forth by today's society, we continue to discover there is so much more to know, so much growth to grow.

In our life we observe, seeing snippets of the journeys of others. Sometimes they appear to suffer only little bumps along the way. As we grow, we gain perspective, teaching us of the many ways in which perspective influences perception; things are not always as they seem.

Nothing can be looked at with a simple glance and be fully understood. Life is a challenging journey, long and full of obstacles.

Life is a journey that is best approached as one. Everything that we encounter throughout life plays a role in defining who we are and is a part of the journey of discovering ourselves, the world, and who we are and wish to be in it. Similarly, our actions and the experiences we create for others influences their understanding of the world and develops their perspective.

Taking on challenges is an investment for personal growth. When we become reflective of our experiences, our growth becomes measurable.

As we come to realize the true hand we have in influencing our understanding and ability to truly taste life, we begin to allow ourselves to embrace challenges as opportunities and truly appreciate the journey that we are on. We learn to live.
