A friend recently shared a perspective from The Introvert Advantage that the disappointments that we encounter in our lives work to strengthen our ability to emotionally heal at a faster rate. Growing up we are told that "the things that don't kill us only make us stronger." There is some truth to that. The pains and upsets that we endure throughout our life can break us, they can push us to a point of giving up; however, these are some extreme cases. In the moment, it is hard. We struggle and we fight to find answers and come out on top and advantaged. Each of our experiences in life have reason. Sometimes this reason is hard to see at first and can be harder to understand than others, but with each irritation that we encounter and each trip, stumble and fall that we undergo, we gain strength through the knowledge that we acquire; the lessons that we learn.
