Wednesday

hi-ho.

Ohhh the places we will go and the people we hope to avoid, but we're sure to come across the bumps and accidents no matter how hard we try. There are liars and there are cheaters; manipulators and deceivers, the distant and the clingy, the stupid ones that can't seem to just 'let it be'. There are the nice guys that are too eager, and those who can't hold a conversation, or the nags that want to make you a believer. There are the pompous ego maniacs who will forever be in love with their reflection; there are the jerks that only act out with wrong intentions. There are the gorgeous, but too idiotic; the chill but often slightly psychotic, and the guys that wont take a hint and always get the wrong impression.

Sometimes it is hard to walk away and understand the beauty behind the lesson. Sometimes we mess up and we flounder, we look back and sigh as we realize that we've done something regretful and the frustration is something we don't want to manage, but we learn to handle.

There are guys with girlfriends that intrigue us and our interest is only fuelled by the excitement and mystery of lust; but, who can trust a man who has a misses and crosses the line past flirtatious? And the worst is those that lie to our faces, thinking that they're so smooth and gracious, all the while their only standards are to find other girls that won't fall into your radar.

But all of these 'losers' do have one thing we shouldn't look past; in the end they're the ones that make us push past, learning how high to set our standards. From one guy to the next, we learn what we should expect. Our understanding strengthens and we learn it is good to reject, pass off and move forward, avoiding other bumps and accidents, steering more clearly towards those worthy of our trust and to be with us.

So when the frustration sets in and you feel you'll never win, never finding that person who will never leave you to sink instead of swim, remember that this is the journey, the lessons you will grow from, molding your expectations and outlining all of those to which you'll never succumb.
