"Choose... it is your choice."
Sometimes it is hard having all of the power placed in your hands, to be given the opportunity to take control and make a decision, all without knowing your fate. What if you don't have all of the facts? What if one little piece of information would change everything- the way you see things, the way you perceive a person, the choices that you make. There are so many uncertainties.Today I find it hard to put faith in people, in facts, even in my own knowledge. When we are little we know everything that we need to know, but as we continue to grow up we continue to become conscious of all of the things we know nothing about. The more I grow, the less I know.
And as I continue to learn, I continue to come to the conclusion that I will continue hitting these road blocks that enlighten me, reminding me to 'smarten up.' When you put a lot of faith into your own ability to be honest, making a conscious effort to be truthful and loyal to those around you, you naturally begin to just believe the words that you are told and you trust that the actions of those that surround you are genuine. But sadly, there are people who we meet, we give them our faith and we let down our guard, and then when we realize that we wrongly judged them, undeservingly giving them a place in our life, in our hearts, we are left feeling so much, and yet nothing; we are left to think and to realize that we don't know everything, in fact, maybe we don't know anything at all. We are left to feel like a child; a naive child.
