My Objective

Co. Kerry, Ireland

My writing is an expression of my thoughts and feeling, and an outlet for my creativity. What I choose to write about always comes from somewhere. Even the creative pieces that tell a story that I myself have not personally experienced are written with feeling, acknowledging the struggles that exist outside of my life, but that are very real to others.

There is much truth is my words. I feel that because emotions are something that are felt innately, sharing our stories and thoughts with others is a way for us to voice our experiences and perhaps leave others feeling at least slightly less alone in something that they may be experiencing and feeling themself.

Since I began sharing my work, I have recieved some very positive and encouraging feedback from friends, family, and others that I have never known before. A common response from readers is that they appreciate the emotion that has been so honestly conveyed in these pieces that I have chosen to share, explaining that, upon reading a particular piece, they were left with a sense of ease, for as they read the words on the screen, they felt the words that were written, remembering a time in their life when they had experienced a similar situation.

They read the words. They feel the emotion. They look back at a time that truly made them feel something. The beauty of this is that, in reading those words, there is a comfort that comes from knowing that someone else has been where they were. Someone else shared a similar experience to them.

It is a scary feeling to feel alone. To feel alone in a world that is so large and so full of other people is an eary and unsettling feeling. I share my work with the hope that my words can help someone else, reminding them that they are not alone in their experiences.
They are not alone. They never were.
