the cold season

It is this time of the year that is always so hard for me. I don't mind winter, in the sense that I like the way that the snow looks when it has just fallen and left a sparkly diamond blanket over everything, I love hot chocolate, and I get so much satisfaction wrapping myself up in my comforter when my room is cold. Besides this small list of positives, summer couldn't come any faster and really should never have left. 

In such a dismal time of year, it can be the most seemingly insignificant moments that will suddenly have you smiling. So, it is during this cold season, full of extra stresses and inconveniences, that I cherish so greatly the moments that warm me with happiness, the kind you feel right deep into your bones.
