Sometimes it is hard for me to share my experiences, putting them into words; Though, for some reason, there is something therapeutic about writing down my thoughts and my feelings, posting them for others to read. I am putting myself out there for the world to see- sharing pieces of me. These pieces of me are exposed and it is in the hands of my audience to take these pieces of me and do with them what they wish. For me, writing is my therapy. I have found my voice within writing; it is a platform to share and to expose, a platform to engage with passion, enabling me to express myself creatively. Only I know which of my pieces are fiction or truth. When someone reads one of my pieces, they get to step into my mind, feeling my emotions and becoming a part of the experience. The moment that they read my words, they are able to connect emotionally with my story. Some find that they can relate, feeling less alone in something that they have experienced in their own life. This is what it is about for me. If I can inspire someone else with my writing, if I can make one person feel less alone, breaking down my barriers and sharing these pieces of me, it is completely worth it.
