Wednesday

my serene summertime.

Standing outside, surrounded by warm air that brushes gently past me, caressing my hair and cooling my skin. I can hear the sounds of birds among the rustling of the leaves and their branches, and the motors of vehicles as they pass.

Where there is pavement, I imagine gardens, grass; taking something dismal and replacing it with something so natural and beautiful. I can't help but wish to look out and see a view that goes on forever.

To be able to see for miles, without the impairment of city light posts or the walls of buildings. To be able to go days without the sounds of sirens fluttering past ever so often in the background; there is a comfort that comes with sleeping throughout the night without the interruption of noise.

I like to breathe clean air, while taking in the scenery around me; water sparkling in the rays of the sun, grass blowing in the wind, the sounds of the wind as it passes by, and the buzzing of nature. I listen patiently, only to hear a whole other world, one that I could never live without, one that is calming, peaceful & serene.
