I would love to be able to put into words the woman that I knew, to be able to paint the perfect picture of all that she was to me, the love that I have for her and the amazing memories that she has left in her legacy.
She had a way of welcoming you into her home as though she had been awaiting your arrival all day long. She always had a craft or project on the go. Without a doubt there was always a tin of homemade cookies on the top of her fridge. It was rare to see her angry, for she seized all that was good. She loved us all with such care; giving each of us as much love as she could. She was the person that I spent my weekends with as a child, crafting and baking; our relationship was a gift. Our time together was always enjoyed, she taught me many important qualities and shared with me many stories and life's secrets. I look up to her as a role model, the image of a great mother and wife. This was the person that I knew; the woman that taught me her ways and showed me that love could be true.
Now it is time to celebrate her life and take time to appreciate all of the laughs and good memories that she has left behind with us, the things that she passed on to us and the love that she blessed us with.
